We spoke at your recent appearance (9/16/05) in St. Cloud. One of your songs mentioned German cowboys. I suggest you google "Karl May" or "Winnetou & Old Shatterhand". German Karl May popularized an idealized fictional American Old West for Europeans and, apparently, was extremely popular. If a 'wild west' doesn't exist in your country, you have to invent it.

I met you at the Birchmere in DC. I belive you were on the bill with John Gorka although I'm not sure. "You" were what I remembered from the night. I bought two of your CDs then and have Enjoyed them over and over. We talked that evening and I told you that your Music reminded me some of Eric Taylor. Your smiled and told me that he had produced 2 of your CDs. I was looking at BlueRubyMusic and saw that you have worked extensivly with Eric on the TX song theater. I've never seen or heard the show but it sounds so exciting. The one time I saw Eric he preceeded one song by some free form verse, very Keroak sounding, something about big shiny blak cars, bent chrome and asphalt. It gave me cold chills and when I think of the synergisim of the two of you and another I know it is something I must see before I die. Will you ever do a show in the Maryland Virginia area? If not, where else would you preform? I would fly just to see it. Where is the best place that you know to see the show?? Wow, I can't wait. Your work is powerfully poignant.

As you may recall we met at Cafe Carpe (wow, I think that was 2001). I was thinking with summer I'd try to travel with the kids to catch one of your shows (we'll be in Kentucky the 2nd week of July). I signed up again for updates.

Your Comfort CD is one of my kids requests for bedtime listening...do I have weird kids or what??? No really, great music. They are used to my playing it around the house and they sing along to most of the songs. So for their bedtime it is "comfort". Hope all is well and keep up the great music.

Remember me? Maybe... maybe not. I used to hear you years ago at The Fair and other venues. Last time I saw you was at Folk Alliance in Albuquerque, 1998. Long time ago.

I have recently moved back home to TX to be nearer my children. (Manvel is 20 mi. S. of Houston.) I was seeing them only once a year when I lived in NM, and that just wasn't enough. Still trying to get used to this damned heat & humidity! But, Houston has so much more great music than ABQ ever will!!!

I have listened to "Rainy Night in Detroit" (on the CD you very graciously gave me at Folk Alliance) so many times I am certainly glad it's on a CD! On vinyl it would be kaput now! Rainy Night... and Indifference are my two very top favorites of yours, but then, I HAVE SO MANY FAVORITES! (I was a few rows from the stage at Kerrville when you and Doug sang there for the last time before you went solo. That was the first time I'd heard you and the first time I heard "How'd You Know." I was hooked!
